Discover Castres

Castres is a charming town typical of the Tarn department. We recommend that you go to the city center to visit the Goya Museum, the Jean Jaurès Museum and the Catharism Museum. You will enjoy strolling around the Bishop's Garden, the Gourjade Park, the houses on the Agout (with their pastel-colored facades that seem to be one with the river), the quays and the Castres theater. This charming town is nicknamed "the little Venice of Languedoc". It is a superb town marked by the textile industry and rugby

The Black Mountain

The Montagne Noire is a mountain range located at the end of the Massif Central. This range separates the departments of Tarn, Hérault, Aude and Haute-Garonne. The Mountain is only "black" in name, in fact, it offers superb green landscapes thanks to the presence of lush nature. This magical and enchanting place will charm and surprise you with its many legends. You can practice many activities there: hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata, climbing, walking and many others.

The Rock of Sidobre

Go north of Castres to observe a unique geological formation in Europe, which will surprise you with its legends and omnipresent nature. This place is unique, it is composed of granite blocks that seem to be balanced. You will enjoy walking in this surprising and enchanting nature. We invite you to go to the Maison du Sidobre to learn more about the formation of granite.

Reviews
